Greetings breeders. Time for an update. Everything is on schedule and going great cross my fingers and knock on wood. ALL of the birds are chip banded and in the system and All the birds have had their complete vaccinations. I don't medicate unless absolutely necessay and to date the health is perfect. The entire team has been out of the loft and the majority have learned the trapping system. Those a little slow learning or those who have only been out once or twice get pardoned and cared for. After a few more times outside and those who won't come in in a timely fashion will go hungry for the day. My way of teaching them. I do have 2 chip bands that are faulty and of course the pigeons who have them are blue check and a dcpd. Now to find out which of the birds they are. I'm pleased to inform everyone that your birds are present and accounted for. Over half of the team are up and flying around the house and learning. Two days ago they got spooked and I had about 100 birds going in 100 directions. Thankfully they are all here. Things like that make me pull the little hair I have left on my head out. Hello breeders,
All is well with the OLR birds. We ended up with 137 birds. A few more than I expected but it will hopefully increase the prize structure. 100% of the birds have been vaccinated and only about a dozen need their booster shots. The health of the birds is great. I was forced to emove the partition and all the birds are in one common loft now. It was getting a little to crowded for my liking in the main section and crowding is a recipe for sickness. The older 50% of the birds have been outside 3 times now and are learning the system. I don't force them out at this stage as I want them to be comfortable. Everything is on schedule.

Greetings breeders. Today is May 8th and I'm letting everyom know how things are here. I have to say I have never been happier with the overal health and condition of the birds as I am with this group. All entries registered should be in by Friday of this week according to the sign up page. To date I am only missing one bird (thank you raven) and that person has been notified. I am having trouble getting the birds out as it has been raining most everyday and if not raining the wind hs been so strong I would run the risk of losing some. This morning we have fog here but as soon as it lifts I plan on letting them out. Cross your fingers. We all know I will lose birds, it is inevitable, but if I use my head and do nothing foolish I hope to lose less. Because of the huge raven population and thoses damned hawks I do sit in the yard when they are out. You folks will soon receive an email askiung everyone to log into wincompanion for updates. It is just way to time consuming to send out emails informing of the birds progress. As always please call if you have questions or concerns.

Greetings breeders. The greater majority of the birds are here and doing well. I'm pleasntly surprised at the quality of the pigeons that have been sent in. Great job breeders. The first group of birds that arrived are obviously out of quaranteed and into the "big boy" section. I had them out and they are typical young birds being curious and flapping their wings. I did have a raven fly low over their head and they scattered but all but one is present and back in the loft. I'll give the one bird a few more days to hopefully find its way home. If not I will contact the breeder. Plenty of time for a replacement or get the the perch fee back, breeders choice. I have lost 2 of my old birds to hawks so needless to say I will have to outside in front of the loft when letting the youngsters out. The halth of the birds if GREAT, dropping are solid despite 4 days of rain. All in all I'm pleased so far. We beging receiving birds this week. I ask that you inform me if you vaccinated your birds prior to shipping. I vaccinate all birds upon receiving them and booster them at 10 days. I would hate to over vaccinate. Send them winners on in.
I see the number of breeders and amount of birds is starting to rise. Happy to have one and all, old and new. We are as far as I know the only OLR race with not only a low perch fee ($50.00) but will return it if your bird(s) lost prior to the activation race. Invite your friends to join the race.
