Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Fliers, I would like to congratulate Francis Sales on his First Place win from Shelley, Idaho last week with AU-10-FVC-1881 Blue Bar hen and Ganus Family Loft for winning our 138 mile race from Roberts, Idaho with AU-10-GFL-0757 Blue Bar hen. And leading for Champion Bird, is Scott McCallister with AU-10-DUTC-0203 and right behind him is Del Valle Loft with AU-10-DELV-0010. We had a great release Saturday morning for our second race. It turned out to be a real good working race with slight head winds all of the way home. Winds were forecast to be 10-15 MPH Saturday afternoon. But after about 11:30 AM Saturday morning the winds really picked up to about 25-35 MPH, a-lot more than was forecast on Friday for Fielding. After three weeks of tough races, the birds that have come in are really in good shape. I’m going to loft fly until Thursday, then we will do a 50 mile toss in preparation for the race from Spencer, Idaho on Saturday at 174 miles. Flying through these mountains down from Southeastern, Idaho and Montana is a real test of a guy’s birds! There are a lot of decisions for a bird to make, like what pass to take through the mountains. Make the wrong choice, and you’re over another mountain range and it’s difficult to get back over to the right side. Week 1: AU-10-FVC-1881 BB Francis Sales Week 2: AU-10-GFL-0757 BB Ganus Family Loft Sincerely, Brad Hoggan – Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge |

Dear Fliers, The birds were released at 7:30 AM 3-5 MPH North Breeze, clear with Ptly Cloudy to the south, the internet said ESE 6 but my son said definitely not 3-5 straight out of the north. They could hit some head winds 5-10 coming home according to the internet? They circled less than a minute today and then v'd out and headed south. Hopefully we will have a good race today... If all goes well we should be birds about 10:30 AM? Will have the video of release up as soon as I can. Best of luck to all! Brad Hoggan - Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge |

Dear Fellow Fliers, I know that everyone is wondering what happened again today? I would also like to know! I have no idea as to what happened again. If I said anything it would be more than speculation on my part. I have to say this has been the lowest day of my pigeon racing career, over 23 years of caring and racing my birds. It is my hope that the majority of them will come home in the next few days. You can check the website for updates as to what birds come home over the next few days. By my rules 100-275 is a two day race, 276 up is a three day race. The clock will stay running until Sunday night at dark. The races will go on for eight more weeks. The birds will still be trained on Tuesday and Thursdays, loft flown between. Everything will continue just like before. Our club has flown this course for more than the 23 years that I have been flying. By the way both Salt Lake area groups released their races today about 35 miles short of my race today at 7:30 AM also. From my understanding they also had the same type of results. This is not to give me a excuse, but just to let you know. I don't believe anyone feels worse about this than myself. Sincerely, Brad Hoggan |

Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Fliers, We had a great release this morning for our first race and it looks like it should be a good one. The weather at release was Clear, 54 degrees, Visibility 10 miles, South Breeze at 2-5 MPH head wind. There will be 419 birds in today’s race. I held back this week 20 birds exactly that I felt where not in condition to go. Some had just come back from previous tosses or had hit a wire and where not ready to go yet. We wish everyone the best in today’s race. There was over seven hundred in the pools today, looks like someone will win a little today! Look for the Video on the website of today’s release. I would also like to thank Ted Amsler for his help on the training tosses each week. And Boe Weeks and Kelle Alder for helping box the birds on race night. They help to make this all possible. Sincerely, Brad Hoggan – Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge |

Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Racers, This past Tuesday we hauled the birds 50 miles, the birds that returned Saturday and Sunday went, all returned over a 10 min. period. We will go 50 miles on Thursday, we have changed things a little because of last Saturday. I will up-date the lost list again on Thursday night, so that everyone will know exactly what birds are in the loft. Look at the website Thursday night and it will be correct as of then again. We will be flying from Shelly, Idaho Saturday from 107 miles, as of tonight we had 434 birds in the loft. I wish I had better news for each of you. Remember if you paid an entry fee for a bird that doesn’t go to the first race, your entry fee will be returned. I will be posting the entry list of what is scanned in Friday night for the first race as soon as possible. This will show what birds are in the loft. We will be taking a video and posting it on the website and You-Tube of each release. We will get it posted as soon as we can. We have finished a really nice feature for our website; you can now go online to Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge website click on Pooling and pool your birds with NO EXTRA FEE’S!…. You can pool all nine weeks if you like, the payout will be by clocking order. You will be able to pool your birds up until time of release, and then the computer will shut off pooling for that race. Then after the race is closed you will be able to go online click on your birds and see how you did, not only in the race but in the pools. So on race day you will be able to be much more involved with your birds each week. Sincerely, Brad Hoggan – Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge |

Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Racers, This past week we hauled the birds 50 miles on Tuesday and 70 miles on Thursday. I will still be hauling the birds every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday now. I will up-date the lost list again on Friday, so that everyone will know what birds are in the loft. So you can look at the website Friday night and it will be correct as of then again. As to what happened Saturday’s 100 mile training toss, I have to say I have no idea. The temperature, weather and winds where all in the favor of the birds. Most of the birds are slowly trapping back in, last check we where at 423 birds in the loft. I will be posting the entry list of what is scanned in Friday night for the first race as soon as I can get it up. This will prove what birds are in the loft. Hopefully more will return, we are right on schedule on our training tosses so far. Remember entry fees were due by Aug.14th. Any bird that doesn’t have it’s entry fee paid will not be sent to any of the races. We have a few entry’s that have not been paid. Please contact me about these birds, they will not go to the first race without payment! Any bird that has a paid entry fee that doesn’t go to the first race will have its entry fee returned. We are still working hard on some really nice features for our website; we hope to have them done really soon. So that on race day you will be able to be much more involved with your birds each week. Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Racers, We have hauled all the birds 4 times almost 50 miles this past week. Then on Saturday we went 70 miles. I will still be hauling the birds every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday now until the races start. I will up-date the lost list Monday night, so that everyone will know what birds are in the loft. When I sent out the statements they where correct as of Saturday July 24th. So look at the website Monday night and it will be correct as of then again. We are still missing about 35 birds from Saturday’s 70 mile toss. Hopefully more will return, we are right on schedule on our training tosses so far. Now remember, last week I let the birds go on training tosses in groups of about 60 or less birds every 10-15 minutes. Then on Saturday’s 70 mile toss I let them go about 5 min apart in four groups. When I get out past 75 miles I may try letting them go in two groups. Remember entry fees are due by Aug.14th. Any bird that doesn’t go to the first race will have its entry fee returned. And any bird that doesn’t have it’s entry fee paid will not be sent to the first race either. We are working hard on some really nice features for our website; we hope to have the done this week? So that on race day you will be able to be much more involved with your birds each week. Sincerely, Brad Hoggan – Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge |

Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Racers, So far we have hauled the birds 12 times from 3 to 40 miles. All sections 1 thru 12 are out to 30+ miles now. I will be hauling the birds every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday now until the races start. We haven’t really lost anymore birds this week. We had a few return so where at about 626 birds still at the loft. I have posted the lost birds on the website. Hopefully more will return, we are right on schedule on our training tosses so far. Now remember, I’m letting the birds go on training tosses in groups of about 60 or less birds every 10-15 minutes. So the trainer report will only be used for me and you to see what birds are missing. I will be sending out statements this week for the entry fee’s for the race series. Remember entry fees are due by Aug.14th. Any bird that doesn’t go to the first race will have its entry fee returned. We are working on some really nice features for our website, so that on race day you will be able to be much more involved with your birds in the nine race series. I believe when you see what we have been working on, it will make the races much more fun for all involved in the race series. Sincerely, Brad Hoggan – Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge |

Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Racers, I got back Wednesday from AU meetings; on Thursday we hauled the birds again 35 miles. All of sections 1 thru 8 are out to 30+ miles now. And all the birds in sections 9 thru 12 where hauled 3 times this last week to 5 miles. I will be hauling the birds every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday now until the races start. I haven’t had the best of luck this past two weeks. In getting the first eight sections out to 30 miles I have lost several birds to wires or just plan didn’t return. I have posted the lost birds on the website. Hopefully more will return. Right now there are 630 birds in the loft. I’m hoping to have all birds out to 40 miles by Saturday even if I have to haul everyday. Now remember, I’m letting the birds go on training tosses in groups of about 60 or less birds every 10-15 minutes. So the trainer report will only be used for me and you to see what birds are missing. Just to get everyone ready, remember entry fees are due Aug.14th.

Plymouth Peak Pro Challenge Racers, Today I’m off to AU meetings for the next three days; on Thursday when I get back we will start hauling all 12 sections. Until then Ted will be taking care of the birds until I get back. All of sections 1 thru 8 are out to 30+ miles now. And all the birds in sections 1 thru 12 are doing fine flying around the loft now. The birds are on anywhere from their 5th. to 8th. Flights now, and all of the birds have their 9th. & 10th. Flights back 90% or are finished with the 9th. & 10th. ! They’re really starting to shine and look really nice again. I will be hauling the birds every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday now until the races start. When we get out to 40 miles I will start posting the birds on the website under trainers. Now remember I’m letting the birds go on training tosses in groups of about 60 birds every 10-15 minutes. So the trainer report will only be used for me and you to see what birds are missing. In getting the first eight sections out to 30 miles I have lost several birds to wires and just plan didn’t return. I will get the missing and lost birds up on the website when I get back. I believe that we still have somewhere around 650 plus birds in the series, but we will probably lose some more in training over the next few weeks.
