As you're walking through your lofts this weekend, examining which birds you're sending out Monday morning, I ask that the Louisiana Perch is the destination for a team of your youngsters!
I have spent countless hours since October constructing a state of the art loft for your birds. 4300 total square feet to ensure no overcrowding to give your birds the best chance at being competitive. As of now we have almost 900 perches reserved and this loft can house upwards of 3000 birds comfortably. We will continue to put every dollar back into this race to ensure it's one of the best races in the country. We have big goals and you only fail when you quit!

Good afternoon Breeders!
The birds are starting to roll in! Our intake process at the Louisiana Perch is probably a little bit longer than most races. With that being said, dont hesitate to send birds a little younger! If they're eating/drinking on their own, we're ready for them. Each bird gets a PMV/ROTA vaccine at arrival and gets assigned an intake cage for 2 full weeks and gets another PMV/ROTA prior to entering general population. Each breeder gets their own cage or 2 cages if they send a bigger team. There is no mixing of birds during intake as this is the time I watch droppings intently.
Each paid entry is receiving a free raffle ticket for a chance to win $1000, $500, $250, $250. If you send 1 bird, you get 1 ticket. A team of 6 gets you 6 chances to win ect. You can win more than once!
The birds are doing very well! I'm putting a chip ring on the birds immediately at arrival. Their getting red drops for parasites and a canker pill. They'll be wormed prior to gen pop as well.
