Birds were released this morning from 151 miles, a point north of Frenchglen, OR on the west slope of the Steens Mountains. The skies were clear and calm and the temperature was 30 degrees.  We should see birds home between 10:15  and 10:45 PDT. Have a Great Day!!!!

Friday's race from 309 miles was a close finish with 2 birds  circling then one on the board and one circling.  As we waited for the second bird to land 7 more birds were in view, hooked and landed still nothing through the stalls.  Then they began to trap at which time 2 more birds were spotted and landed amongst the remaining on the board. The original or first bird on the board was not the first to clock. Three definite drops, first drop didn't trap.  These first eleven were pushed into a section prior to more arriving.  Congradulations to Alex Bieche for having the first bird through the trap.

Looking ahead, this week's scheduled race from 150 miles most likely will be flown Thursday as we prepare for the 350 mile final Oct 13th.  Am planning for a toss on Tuesday.   Have a good week.  

338 birds were released this morning at 7:15 under clear skies, with NE winds ~3mph, and a temperature of 45 degrees. Along the course light cross and head winds are predicted increasing to 9mph as the day goes on.  We should see birds sometime between 1:30 - 2:00 PDT. 

Tomorrow we will be boxing birds for race #4 of the series to be released Friday, September 30 from Winnemucca, Nevada .  Over $21,000 in capital prizes on this race. (Go to rueterfamilyloft.com/2022-payout.html  )

Birds are up and on their way home from the 250 mile station of Race #3.  Weather was reported as Clear, Calm and 30 degrees. Along the course predicting slight variable winds to 3 mph.   We should see birds here at the loft about 12:15 PDT.  Get them home. 

I will be boxing birds tomorrow for  our third race of the series, from 250miles McDermitt, Nevada.

Great race yesterday congratulations to those breeders of the 21 birds on the drop!!! Also congrats to Steve Sterchi for the first bird in the clock.  Six birds are very close in contention for average speed after the first two races with again Steve's bird and the Two-bird team Average has the first three teams only 4 minutes apart with Greek Connection now leading.

Birds were released at 7:15 under scattered cloud, 54 degrees, and NW winds (Head) at 3mph  We should see birds around 11:00 PDT

406  birds are being transported at this time to the 200 mile station for race #2 of our series.  

414 birds were released for our first race this morning, clear skys ,63 degrees, and calm.  Though reported calm at release some  head winds predicted to  9 mph the first 30 miles then head winds <5 mph the remainder of the way home. Should be a good day!!!
