I will be calling everyone over the weekend, we plan on starting to ship birds out monday. So think about if you want your birds mailed back.

We just got the breakdown of payouts from accounting done, I will pick them up in the morning. I will then send it to the web guy to post. We plan on shipping birds back next week.

Just wanted to let everyone know if you checked the speeds at first they were 1 hr. slow due to the time change overnight. Terry just had us change the release time to 1 hr later. We got lucky that mother nature gave us alot of south wind which is a tail wind. I would guess that half the birds home at this point may not be home if we had a head wind. Several of them and some on the 1st drop really had their wings down as they tried to walk in. It looked like they flew 500-600 miles if you know what I am talking about. Again thanks for supporting the race and now we will see how many make it on the day

Birds were out at 7:00 there was some patchy fog which is normal in the mountains. There was hardly any wind and as they come up they could hit SE-S wind if they can predict it right. Keep in mind 2 days ago it was East 10-15. Anything East is always really bad and screws the birds up but south is a tail wind. The birds should do fine since the wind should be under 5mph. Good luck to all and the rest is up to the birds. Thank you for supporting the race this year. We had alot of challenges with mother nature this year which was hard on us and the birds. For all the birds that made it through this year they showed their stuff already just making it to this point.

I forgot to mention, we yet again had another chip go bad. It was vitaking 8806 it has, the back band on

We are going to do the last race in the morning. We are going the 340 as advertised. Today a local combine flew the same distance and flew it in 8 hrs. So we will release at 7:00 and should have them by 2:00 if they would do 50mph or 3:00 if they do 40mph. My guess is they should be here between 2-3:00 if the wind is as they predict. We all know how things can change but the birds should have more then enough time to make it in the day. Good luck to all and lets have a good race.

We may get the race in on sunday, the wind has changed some at this point. We will see Saturday night and decide then.

The birds did good yesterday, we wanted to stretch them out since they really haven't been worked due to the weather. I will loft fly them today and at this point we may race Sunday or Monday. Sunday we may have 15 mph east winds. Anything east is really bad for us. With the hours of daylight getting short we may have to make the last race a 300 instead of the 340. I know some people will not like that but with the weather holding us up this year we are 30 days behind schedule. We need to give the birds enough daylight hours to get home. If we go 300 that will break up the bird just fine I think. We will let you know closer to the time.

We took the birds 50 miles today, we did have some fog so they went a little later. Yesterday we loft flew the birds for 1 hr. We will post when we may have the race since we cannot trust the weather. We are planning on training again Thurs.

We ended up getting 9 inches of snow and didn't have electric all night. So again another record for mother nature this year.The snow should all be gone in a few days and then we will start training again. If things go well maybe the end of the week or next weekend we should be able to get the last race in.
