Tough Day at the Office

We had a tough toss today, the winds were forecast to be NW-5/8 on the course today and it started out that way, but at home it really picked up, at 10:30 it was out of the NW- 10/15 Gusting to 30mph, all the birds that came in today really earned their supper. Hopefully we will get more in the AM; I will keep the clock running thru Wednesday.

Lock down tomorrow, loft fly Thursday and go again on Friday.

Good Morning Everybody,

We had a good toss yesterday, four more birds came in the morning when the birds were loft flying. Training this week will be 75mi Tuesday, Shut down of Wednesday (it’s the 1st of Sept, Dove Season Opens) and then another 75mi on Friday, no more Sat toss’s to many Clubs and Combines in the air on Saturday to risk the birds.

I will be mailing out Entry and Pool Sheets this week, Please don’t worry about getting them here on the 8th of Sept, I know the web site say’s that, but I plan on doing a 100mi toss on the 8th and there is no use of sending in Entry Sheets until after that toss. I will also try to get in a 120mi toss before the first race.

PLEASE HAVE ENTRY SHEETS IN BY THE 15TH OF SEPTEMBER.

The birds are healthy and in great shape.

Good Evening Everyone,

We had a good toss today, the last bird clocked at 09:54 (312th bird) was the last bird in the loft this AM, Birds 313 thru 320 were in the loft and were clocked when I let the birds out at 5pm, they managed to crawl over another bird and not get clocked on the first drop, I have to get them to trap slower.

Starting with this toss I will be using the Lost and Missing feature from now on so you can see it on the birds List. Also we will be sending out entry forms and pool sheets next week. I know the web site says to have the entries in by the 8th of September, but you can wait till the 15th. I will have a 100mi toss in by then and you will have a better Idea of the birds that will be here and I won’t have to do as many refunds, any bird that does not go to the first race will have its Entry fee refunded.

Next toss Saturday, back to the Casino.

Hi Everyone,

Tough toss today, but a good one, this is a headwind course and today was a good test for the birds, we are out a few birds but hopefully they’ll show up in the AM. We had a good 10mph wind at release but by the time I got home it was ripping up to 25mph here at the loft and the majority of the birds did just fine.

I am going to loft fly the birds for the next two days, we are suppose to have a little heat wave 108 Tue, 106 Wend, and go 50mi on Thursday, this will also give some of the late birds from today’s toss a little chance to recover.

Good Morning Everyone,

We had a good week training, birds are coming great, if you check the clocking for Red Bluff toss you will see a at Bird 309 the clocking stopped, because all of the birds were in the loft. All the birds were in the loft, at 2pm I pushed all the birds out to check and make sure the birds are here, as you can see they were all in the loft. Yesterday I redid all of the stalls now they have to stoop to get into the stalls, this AM loft flying clocked all 327 birds.

This coming week we will do a 40mi and two 50milers if the Creeks don’t Rise and everything goes right. 40 on Monday, 50 on Wednesday and 50 on Friday.

We had a good toss today from Sun Set Hills, 17Mi, Birds came great, and clock did not do so well. I changed a few things today and called Unikon, but their tech guy will not be in till next Monday.

Back to Sun Set in the AM if the clock cooperates we’ll post it.

We had a good toss from Anderson this AM, I videoed the release and will post it tonight. I installed the new Clock today and did an inventory this evening, check training for Inventory

I will loft fly the birds in the AM and check the clock when they are rushing the stalls, hopefully this will be over with the clock BS.

Thursday we will go to Sunset Hills 17MI

Good Morning Everyone,

I somehow dumped all of yesterdays training results trying to change over to a new Champ Unikon Clock; we had a good toss but did drop a couple of birds. I will have the new clock running by Thursday.

Today we will go to Anderson, 11mi, and by the end of the week we should be out to Red Bluff, today will be 5 days in a row and Wednesday we take a break, get the Clock running right Hopefully and Thursday hit it again.

Hi Everyone,

We went 6mi this AM and the birds did fine, the clock worked like a piece of junk.

I will not be posting toss’s till I can get this clock problem solved, I will be in contact with Unikon tomorrow, and if they can’t fix it, we’ll be getting another Clocking Sys ASAP.

I will continue to train and will post results ASAP.
