PIGEON UPDATE 4/22/24
Good morning fancier's.
This past week was a very exciting week. We recieved birds from Canada and UK, along with birds from TX, MD, PA, NJ,NY,CT, and DE. So we will have some true international competition.
We have been testing the dropping's with NC State University Avian Veterinary Clinic, all results good so far. The professor has asked if we would be interested to have her 4th year veterinary students come and do a loft visit to learn more about pigeon managment and health. This is very exciting to expose new people to our wonderful sport.
Group 1-2 are out loft flying and group 3 will begin trapping this week. All birds needing 2nd booster have been done. Our Benzing clocking system will be arriving soon and we will begin chipping the birds. Any missing birds can be replaced up until June 15th, Our regular cut-off for accepting birds is May 31st.  So still plenty of time to get those birds signed up.
Big thank you to all the fancier's that met me in NJ to drop off birds this past Sunday. It was great to talk to you all. Truly blessed with all your support.

La semana pasada fue una semana muy emocionante. Recibimos aves de Canadá y el Reino Unido, junto con aves de TX, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT y DE. Entonces tendremos una verdadera competencia internacional.
Hemos estado probando los excrementos con la Clínica Veterinaria Aviar de la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte y hasta ahora todos los resultados son buenos. La profesora nos ha preguntado si estaríamos interesados ​​en que sus estudiantes de veterinaria de cuarto año vinieran y hicieran una visita al palomar para aprender más sobre el manejo y la salud de las palomas. Es muy emocionante exponer a gente nueva a nuestro maravilloso deporte.
Los grupos 1-2 están volando en loft y el grupo 3 comenzará a realizar trampas esta semana. Se han realizado todas las aves que necesitan un segundo refuerzo. Nuestro sistema de cronometraje Benzing llegará pronto y comenzaremos a picar los pájaros. Cualquier ave que falte se puede reemplazar hasta el 15 de junio. Nuestra fecha límite habitual para aceptar aves es el 31 de mayo.

Good morning every one the birds are looking great and some are flying but not forcing anyone up at this time. In the video they are enjoing a sunday afternoon bath.

MONDAY BEST DAY FOR SHIPPING

Good morning fanciers.  I hope everyone had a good Easter.

The weather has been in the 80's but expected cooler towards end of week.  When shipping birds please don't overcrowd the boxes and cause overheating and stress.

Please follow our blog to get updates and Face Book too.  We are trying to update weekly or more.

I know there are many choices for OLR's and I hope you can give us a try, but if not follow on our updates and see our progress and next year you may send some.
