OPEN LOFT-PARTIAL INVENTORY
 The birds will be open lofted today with a partial inventory.
There are only a max of 58 that will scan today.
The birds are in different stages at this point transitioning from quarantine to the main loft to trap train and then open loft as this group will be today.
We have been opening the loft typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we have been inventorying each time with our TauRIS Derby system.
We did have a hawk hit last week and are missing one bird off the loft because of it. We have notified the breeders that were effected and will continue direct notification as soon as anything arises
We are excited to get all the birds in the loft and get going
Thank you all for great looking birds, its going to be a Great Series.

UPDATE/PICKUP
 Sunday Evening 3/31/24
I will be departing Santa Maria Club house 7:00pm Picking up birds at Tractor Supply, Paso Robles, Ca. 8:30pm  

 Monday 4/1/24
 I will be hauling a club race to Lathrop Ca. for a release Monday 4/1/24 Target shopping center 16858 Golden Valley Parkway. Release time 7:30-8:00am If you have birds to go Triple300 or AGN you can bring the birds to me there. I will be leaving Target and going to AGN loft to pick up and deliver birds.
From the AGN location I will be stopping at the Bakersfield Club on my way home for another pick up.

 If you are in the West San Jose area Saturday 3/30/24 10:00am-12:00pm and you have birds for Triple300 you can give them to Tim Perry at the Silicon Valley Auction, and I will pick them up from Tim on Monday.

UPDATE/SHIPPING
Hello Breeders,
 
 The birds are doing great, health has been good, birds have been trap training very well and some have been out to explore.
We have birds in different stages of the process.
The birds are all here and WE WILL notify breeders as soon as any issue arises requiring replacements.
We have been allowing the birds out on Tuesday and Wednesday each week to explore. We want the birds out as early and young as possible but don't want the group taking off as of yet since new birds are being added weekly. The large fly pen works fantastic for settling and trap training.
We monitor the inventory through our TauRIS Derby program daily and I think posting partial inventories on Wincompanion may create unnecessary confusion.
 
As far as pick up this coming weekend goes, it looks like rain is in the forecast again so it looks like our club will be changing the race day so as soon as I know what day I will be hauling our race I will send out info as to possible pickup locations and times

PICK-UP UPDATE  Due to the weather Santa Maria Club will be flying our 140 mile race this Friday 3/22
Location will be at the Chevron at West Nees Ave. at Interstate 5 approx 8:30am

Other locations I can stop on my travels back home would be Harris Ranch or Kettleman City.
 Next weekend 3/30 will be from Target in Lathrop, from there I will be headed to the Perry's AGN to drop off/pickup birds. I can also make my return route through the Bakersfield area this day also.
 I will send out a confirmation mid next week when we know if the weather will cooperate.

UPDATE/SHIPPING

Birds in the loft are doing Great! moving from quarantine to the main loft on a daily basis.

They are out enjoying the fly-pen and trap training very well. First group will be going out soon.

Get your sign-ups in and be sure to check out IPigeon for perch fees and an opportunity to help out the Smeltzer family with their loss, our hearts go out to them.

Pickup/Shipping

Our club Old bird races have begun so I will be hauling on a weekly basis and be available to pickup and transport birds to help save on postal rates.

Weather permitting I will be doing a release at the Chevron Station at West Nees Ave/I5 this Saturday March 23rd. Please contact me Friday before to confirm and we can workout pickup locations anywhere along my route back to Santa Maria.

The following week, March 30th I will be releasing at Target in Lathrop Ca. off of E. Louise Ave. and on that day I will be heading over to the Perry's AGN Race to pickup and deliver birds so if I can help you get your birds to or from that location I will be happy to assist. 22682 Williams Ave. Hilmar Ca. 95324 Please make prior arrangements.

Every Saturday Evening in April, I will be going to the Selma Club shipping, 6339 S. Orange Ave. Fresno, Ca. 93725 to transfer birds and will be available to pick up birds there or anywhere on my travel route back to Santa Maria. Time would be 8:00pm but may vary slightly based on shipping times. Please call to make prior arrangements.

I will send out exact times on a weekly basis throughout our receiving period.

LOFT IS OPEN-BIRDS ARE ARRIVING!!!

The loft is Open and the birds are doing Great. Birds have been transitioning from quarantine into the main loft and health has been super!
More birds have been shipping and will be arriving in the next couple of days.
 
Get your sign-ups in and reserve your spots, Its going to be a Great and Challenging series.

QUICK UPDATE

Everything has been going very smoothly. Birds are looking great and transitioning from quarantine into the main loft and fly-pen.

As I mentioned in previous updates, I have a group of latehatch birds that I have been using as a training group. I have been using them to perform test Races, Trainings and loft fly/inventory to become well versed with Wincompanion and TauRIS Derby and I am feeling very comfortable with it and all has been going extremely well. This group of 2023 birds will be deleted from the system pretty soon.

BIRDS ARE LOOKING GREAT
Hello Breeders,
 Birds have been arriving over the past week and are looking great.
If you are attending the IPigeon Gala we hope you are having a great time and hope the event is a big success.
 Our club Old Bird season will be starting soon and I will be hauling birds over to the Fresno area on a weekly basis so there will be multiple opportunities to arrange transit for you breeders in the central valley area in California to avoid postal fees and shipping.
I will send out future updates for exact times and locations soon.

Get you sign-ups in, remember first years entrants will be Grandfathered in and guaranteed entry to future races once the race reaches full capacity.
