Just wanted to inform everyone that the activation race is set for Saturday Feb 24th barring any unforeseen problems. 

Please consider the following categories when deciding on activation options.

$125 Colored Bird Option for those who have sent colored birds to the race
$100 Sprint Series Avg Speed.. Breeder can choose any/all team to participate for this option.

Activation is $300 per bird and all birds per team must be activated. No pick and choose!

Payment can be check, money order, cashapp or paypal.

Just a quick update

Birds went almost 30 miles today. The majority did well.

Plan moving forward is next week to be atleast 60 miles. 

Spoke to some olr handlers and they said I shouldnt hold up the majority of birds for a group in the minority. Thats what I am going to do going forward. I want to get the majority to the races but unfortunately they all wont make it.

As most of you know the trailer has been down. I have been told it will be worked on Saturday/Monday coming up so that has slowed everything to stand still. 

Activation will be pushed back accordingly. I wont have that activation race until the birds are trained properly in advance of that toss.

Just quick note on training.. with the weather not cooperating the way I would like I have not been able to get a good toss in for a a few days. The birds have been loft flown daily but rain and overcast clouds just not good for training. Not sure about the next couple days either. Will keep you posted.

I know I havent updated here in a while. The facebook page is where everything is updated pretty much daily.
As for the birds I took the birds back to the 14 mile station since the weather to start the day was ugly. They did great. Wincompanion is set up lafter wife gets done with her work. I don’t set it up before going cause I never know time and where I’m going to release so I need to gps her the coordinates. Tomorrow if everything goes as planned I expect to go about 35 miles with them.

Also so everyone knows the number on the wincompanion is 415 but that is wrong as you guys can tell. We have 3 birds that scan each time that doesn’t register through wincompanion and benzing on the clock so I have to grab each one and find out which it is… once I get that done the new number will come up because then Becky can send everything through benzing and it will update on wincompanion.

Just letting everyone know that we are out to 8 1/2 miles now. The birds are looking good.  We are very much on schedule so far for the races to start in February.

I just wanted to let you everyone know that the weather here has been bad the last couple of days. The birds are doing well but nothing is going on with them. The trailer is coming along. He is just working on the top and the chute for loading now. So that shouldnt be much longer. Have a great day.

Also, wanted to let everyone know that the trailer should be done soon. I'm hoping for this weekend but we will see on that. The birds are flying really well now. There are still some that dont seem to want to move with the group but once the trailer is here I will take them to my neighbor property which is about 10 acres away and release them from there. That should get them flying with the bunch.

Hand inventory was taken the last 2 days with any missing/lost pigeons
updated in the wincompanion system this morning. 

We tried running a training scan this morning, but the internet went out.   We will attempt another training scan tomorrow.
